Our donors empower Memoir Journal to share the best of memoir with the widest possible audience. Please join the ranks of those who recognize the true value of memoir.
Established in 2006 to publish the literary journal Memoir, Memoir Journal also promotes and celebrates the art of memoir through education and outreach programs that serve writers from all walks of life. A 501(c)3 organization, Memoir Journal relies on your donations to continue our work as the only organization devoted to publishing and teaching personal narrative.
With the support of individuals like you, we are able to offer Memoir to the public at an affordable price, reach out to underserved communities through the (in)Visible Memoirs project, and engage some of the finest writing teachers in the country to teach our new workshop series. While we recoup some direct costs such as printing through sales of the journal and program fees, it is your generous support that keeps the lights on, the coffee flowing, and our small, busy staff in the office from week to week.
We know that justifying even the smallest donation may be more difficult these days, but the truth is that your contribution is more valuable than ever. With dwindling support for the literary arts from corporations, foundations, and government, the fight for the future of writing belongs to individuals like you. Please support what you love with a gift to Memoir Journal.
