New in Issue 10, The Interview with Pam Houston
Posted on: Thursday, May 10th, 2012
Issue 10 will hit newsstands and bookstores on June 1st.
Memoir(and) has added new features that wonderfully complement our exciting line up of writers and poets. Pam Houston joins our editor in chief, Claudia Sternbach, to discuss memoir and its presence in her latest novel Contents May Have Shifted in our newly launched Interview feature.
Pam Houston is an award-winning author and professor of creative writing at University of California, Davis. Her collection of best-selling fiction includes, Cowboys Are My Weakness, winner of the 1993 Western States Book Award; Waltzing the Cat, winner of the Willa Cather Award for Contemporary Fiction; A Little More About Me, a memoir; and her latest novel Contents May Have Shifted recently published by W. W. Norton.
She is both writer and adventurer whose life is nearly identical to the richly drawn characters that have captured millions of readers around the world. If Pam Houston has written it, she has experienced it, and we are delighted to kick off this new feature with such an inspiring author in our opening pages.
